Letters to Ministers

The Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario is dedicated to long-term thinking for today’s issues. We brought our top policy concerns to key ministers this fall:

Agri-food Sector Success

The CFFO believes the agriculture and agri-food sector can be a cornerstone of the Ontario economy, but political will is necessary to create the conditions for future success.

Farmland Preservation

The CFFO is concerned about the protection of farmland for future generations and we urges government to prioritize protection of the province’s Agricultural System in current land use planning.

Soil Stewardship

The CFFO strongly affirms its support for Ontario’s 2018 Agricultural Soil Health and Conservation Strategy, and encourages government to support research on and adoption of soil health BMPs and to improve provincial soil mapping.

Water Stewardship

The CFFO is concerned about long-term government supports for water quality research and on-farm water management in an increasingly erratic climate.
